Background

SQL Support Greenwich CouncilTCS Computer Services (TCS) has provided Greenwich Council with many IS/IT services over their 23 year relationship, yet SQL Support has always been central to TCS's work with the Council.

With a complex IT infrastructure servicing over 3000 users on a daily basis and handling an expenditure budget of around £1Bn per annum, the SQL Environment is absolutely core to ensuring that each and every individual transaction, across all major service departments including Social Services, Transport, Education and Housing, is reliably processed and recorded.

The physical hardware platform and infrastructure is maintained by IBM and Northgate IS, yet TCS work closely with these suppliers to ensure that the SQL Data environment is maintained within the physical server environment...[more]
